  18. Most of these sites were situated in the US. What about Europe ?

  33. How do you go about maintaining your Atari ST?  I managed to kill mine in the
  34. process of upgrading the memory (it was flakey anyway, but it is really dead
  35. now--when you turn it on, the color screen flashes a random color, the speaker
  36. clicks with the power on, and that's it...no disk access, no bombs, nothing!)
  37. I returned it to it's original 520 ST state, and it is still dead.  Using
  38. a scope and the two drawings that came with the developer's package, I've
  39. about decided that the MMU is bad, since it appears that it is not driving
  40. the enables of the 373's and 244's on the data bus, but I'm not sure.  My
  41. question is, how do others get theirs fixed if and when they break?  My
  42. temporary solution was to get another one while I was working on this one,
  43. but I need to get this one working again since I want to use the 4 Meg
  44. upgrade kit I have (and I don't want to have TWO dead ST's on my hands!).

  46. Our local dealer and "authorized service center" knows less about electronics
  47. than I do, and I think his test fixture requires the system to at least boot
  48. before it can diagnose anything--and besides, I heard on the radio this
  49. morning that his shopping center is being gutted by fire right now and
  50. everything there is a total loss.  Does Atari still have it's repair/exchange
  51. program?  If so, does anyone know how to get in touch with someone there to
  52. start the process?  If not, does anyone have any ideas on what might be wrong
  53. or how I can get it fixed?  I'd hate to have to just toss it (although I
  54. had one salesman tell me that the machines were good for about 3-4 years
  55. before they died a permanent death, and this one is about that old).

  80. in my MWC book, but I am hoping not to have to type all of them
  81. in.  Does any one know if the examples in the MWC book are available

  203.         I was up all last night trying to call a file selector using
  204. assmebler code mixed with a C source file.

  206.         I am trying to send the extended information to the AES file
  207. selector function that is picked up and utilized by LGF's File Selector.

  209.         In the documentation for the LGF FS, there is in-line assembler
  210. code provided to type into a C program to get it to call the file selector.
  211.  
  212.         One of the instructions is "bsr  AES" ... Well, Laser C does
  213. not seem to have any constant "AES" defined.

  215.         Does anyone know the absolute memory entry point for the AES?
  216.         Can anyone help?  We'll see.
